TL;DR
Make as many predictions as you can to build your GSCORE. The #1 ranked user challenges the Champ each event. Highest Event Score wins the belt. Champion gets interviewed, bonus Grollers weekly, and eternal glory.
How do I get Ranked?
Each event, make predictions on as many fights as you can. These will contribute to your GSCORE, which is the key metric for ranking users. The top 10 users by GSCORE will be displayed in the MAXX Rankings, with the #1 contender earning the right to challenge the current MAXX Champion at the next event.
How do I win the MAXX Championship?
If you become the #1 contender, you will face off against the reigning MAXX Champion at the next event. You both will compete to have the higher Event Score for that event. The user with the highest Event Score wins the title and becomes the new MAXX Champion!
Champion's Advantage: The Champion will retain in case of a draw.

What if I cannot challenge at the next event?
If you are unable to participate in the next event for any reason, you will forfeit your challenge opportunity. Ideally inform us ahead of time so we can adjust the title fight accordingly.
The replacement challenger will generally be the next highest ranked user by GSCORE.
What if the Champion cannot defend at the next event?
If the Champion informs us ahead of time that they cannot defend their title at the next event, the Championship will be vacated and will be contested under Gold Rush rules at that event.
If the Champion is off on injury status, the #1 and #2 ranked contenders will face off for the Interim Championship. The winner will become the Interim Champion and will face the returning Champion at a later event to unify the titles.
Champion 'Injury' Status
After 3 successful title wins, the Champion may claim an injury, allowing them to take the next event off while retaining their Championship. This can only be claimed once per 3 title wins and can be banked. The Champion must inform us ahead of time if they wish to claim this status. Extenuating circumstances may also be grounds for injury status at our discretion. Extended injury status will result in vacation of the title.
Interim Championships
Interim Championships are temporary titles awarded when the reigning Champion is unable to defend their title. Interim Champions have all the rights and privileges of a regular Champion, but must face the reigning Champion in a title unification bout upon their return.
If the reigning Champion cannot return after their leave, the Interim Champion will be promoted to Undisputed Champion status. If the Championship is vacated while an Interim Champion is active, the Interim Champion will be promoted to Undisputed Champion status.
Interim Champions are not eligible to claim injury status. Interim Champions may have to defend their title depending on the reigning Champion's return. While an Interim Champion is active, the current Championship will not be considered Undisputed.
Title Vacation
The Championship title may be declared vacant under certain circumstances, such as extended injury of the reigning Champion, voluntary relinquishment, or user bans. When a title is vacated, the top contenders will compete for the vacant Championship at the next event under Gold Rush rules.
What is Event Score?
Event Score measures your odds-weighted accuracy on an ENTIRE fight card. Each correct prediction earns you points based on the difficulty (odds) of that pick. Correctly picking underdogs earns more points than favorites. TIP: Predict on as many fights as possible! Wagering is not needed!
Fight Points Formula (based on American odds):
• For favorites (negative odds): Points = 100 * (100 / |Odds|)
Example: -200 odds = 100 * (100 / 200) = 50 points
• For underdogs (positive odds): Points = 100 * (Odds / 100)
Example: +150 odds = 100 * (150 / 100) = 150 points
Event Score: (Points Earned / Points Possible) * 100
What is GSCORE?
GSCORE (Global SCORE) is your overall prediction performance rating calculated as a sliding window of recent events. It represents the percentage of points you earned out of the total points possible across those events. Window size will increase over time. The higher your GSCORE, the better your recent prediction performance.
Formula: GSCORE = (Points Earned in Last X Events / Points Possible in Last X Events) * 100

MAXX Championship System
